Beauty Secrets and Tips

  1. Do not get stuck using the same cream all over again. Creams have different nutrients and if you change creams regularly, you will give your skin a variety of nutritious materials. You may have noticed that when you start using a new cream, your skin glows, all tiny wrinkles even out, but after a while the novelty wears off and the effect of the cream stops being so noticeable. Please bear in mind that the effect of most over the counter creams is only cosmetic. You can read more about whether anti-ageing creams work here.
  2. If you spend a lot of money on expensive beauty products, make sure you get the most out of them. Acquire a device that temporarily makes your skin more permeable, such as a derma roller, derma stamp or an ultrasonic device that helps your skin assimilate all the nutrients more efficiently.
  3. Food you eat affects the health of your skin, body shape and, most importantly, your mood. However, if you have bad eating habits, it is very difficult to change them. Drastic changes often lead to disappointment; people tend to revert to their old habits. Try to introduce changes gradually, let's say, buy a juicer and make yourself some yummy fruit juice once or twice a week. It will not feel like a big effort, however, it will make you feel fuller on the days you drink the juice and it will raise your mood. It is important to take things slowly. If you like junk food, carry on eating just like before. Instead of replacing bad food with good, try to introduce healthy food into your diet: eat a carrot, broccoli or a  celery stem before lunch. The most important step into achieving sustainable results is starting to like good food, not replacing everything you like with everything you don't like. Don't worry if you eat a carrot, have some juice and still eat a packet of biscuits afterwards. Your desire to eat healthily will come slowly, you will notice that more and more often you want to have a healthy meal instead of junk food.
  4. If you want to start exercising but find it very hard, try some tricks such as drinking sports energy drink before a workout, using an electric muscle stimulator to kick start your muscles and make you more willing to take on physical activity. Utilise all tools available before you give up.
  5. If you struggle to kick bad habits, jump-start your approach by doing something positive, something that gives you apparent results immediately, such as dyeing your hair. It will give you an instant energy boost and the positive energy may well transform vicious to a virtuous circles.
  6. If you are over 30, you may need more than just a cream to maintain your skin, therefore, start experimenting early. Try mesotherapy treatment, ultrasonic devices, red light therapy, maybe even a chemical peel. Prevention is always easier and more effective than trying to restore already damaged skin.
